I was a Pro cyclist many years ago starting as an Amateur with the USCF racing Criteriums, then moved to time trails.

As an Amateur I trained at world class leaves riding with South Bay Wheelmen.  I went on training rides with

Nelson Vails; he won the silver medal in the 1984 Olympics. We rode many times down the California's Pacific Coast  Highway. Me behind the motorcycle and Nelson drafting. I became a professional cyclist 1982.

That is where I did the best, finishing second in the King of the Mountain in 1982. Making me in the top 1000 time trial cyclist in the world.

As one of the first African-American Pro cyclist in America and I entered and finished the Bud Light Triathlon Series in Long Beach, California race event in 1984 as a Professional Athlete.  My sponsor was Huffy stationary bike trainer.
